This wildly entertaining social sing-along experience transforms the audience into the stars of the show. Under the guidance of acclaimed Aotearoa musicians Jason Te Mete and Jodes Langdon, you’ll be divided into two teams, learn the choruses of some iconic Disco classics, then battle it out in an unforgettable sing-off packed with rhythm, nostalgia, and glitter.
No singing experience is required, just a willingness to join in, have a laugh, and celebrate the power of music to bring people together. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or a shower-singing superstar, BATTLE CHORUS is all about community, connection, and collective fun.

Jason Te Mete
Creator (Concept and Content) & Performer/Host
Jason Te Mete is of Ngāti Ranginui and Ngāi Te Rangi descent, and is a freelance artist with over 20 years experience as a vocal coach, musical director and performer. He created the BATTLE CHORUS concept for the Auckland Live Cabaret Festival in 2019, collaborating with Rutene Spooner to develop the content. Jason is also Kaiwhakahaere / Artistic Director of Tuatara Collective.
Jodes Langdon
Performer/Host (Disco)
Jodes Langdon is a powerhouse singer and acoustic guitarist born in New Zealand, however she spent a lot of her life in Australia where her music journey began. She is renowned for her exceptional vocal talent, musicianship, and versatility to cover a wide range of music styles and genres ranging from soulful ballads to upbeat rock anthems.
