Theatre Royal

Accessible entrance through the right-most front door with a ramp inside the foyer. All areas in the foyer and front half of the stalls are wheelchair accessible.

Rows I - N in the auditorium are tiered with stairs. There is no elevator to the Dress Circle on the 2nd floor.
In the Stalls on the ground floor, there are three wheelchair positions, positioned at the end of rows A and H, each next to a theatre seat for an accompanying person. These seats can only be booked through the Theatre Royal Box Office.

There is one mobility car park in front of the Theatre. You may find some parking along Rutherford Street, and on the Montgomery carpark (100m distance). Please note that Montgomery carpark is used for markets in the weekend so is not available for matinee audiences.

There are two accessible toilets in the foyer, one of which is a gender inclusive/family bathroom and includes a nappy changing table.

The front desk is not at an accessible height, but the staff are happy to come around to assist.
The bar has an accessible counter at a lower height.

The Boathouse


Accessible entrance through the front door. All indoor space is on one level. Outside deck has 2 levels separated by 2 steps.

No mobility park, potential drop off/pick up park outside Nahm. Street parking on Wakefield Quay.

There is one accessible gender inclusive toilet, and the bar has an accessible counter at a lower height.

Victory Community Centre


Accessible entrance through the front door. All indoor space is on one level.

The Brook Waimārama Sanctuary

Accessible entrance through the ramp at the front door. All indoor space is on one level.

There is a car park at the sanctuary. There is also possible vehicle access directly to gate of the park, please speak to someone at the front desk.

There are multiple accessible gender inclusive toilets, and the main counter is at a accessible lower height.

Motueka Public Library

Multiple accessible ramps leading to the front door. All indoor space is on one level.

There are two mobility parks in main car park and one on Wallace Street.
One gender inclusive accessible toilet. [NB: There is a heavy door to the toilets that a staff member can help with.] The main counter is at a adjustable lower height.

Cultural Conversations

Accessible entrance through the front door. All indoor space is on one level.
Mobility Park and other parking in Morrison Square.

One accessible gender inclusive toilet in the Morrison Square centre complex, as well as a family room bathroom.

Victory Boxing

Accessible entrance through the front roller door. All indoor space is on one level.

Fairfield House

Wheelchair access is available via the ramp at the back of the house, accessed through the back courtyard.

The car parks directly beside the house are best reserved for wheelchair users and people requiring mobility access. We recommend contacting Fairfield House in advance on 021 591 906 if you require accessible parking or assistance with access.

There are two wheelchair-accessible toilets. There is no separate accessible bathroom.

Kirby lane

Kirby Lane is an outdoor, paved space with a flat, level surface and no steps or steep inclines. It can be accessed from Bridge Street via the footpath.

The space is open and car-free, with plenty of room to move around between food stalls, vendor carts and seating.

There is a fully accessible, self-contained public toilet block on site.

Upper Trafalgar Street

Upper Trafalgar Street, between Hardy Street and Selwyn Place, is a pedestrian-only area with a flat, paved surface and no steps.

The area is accessible for wheelchairs and mobility devices.

Mobility and standard parking are available nearby at Montgomery Square and Buxton Square car parks.

Neudorf Vineyards

Audience seating is on a gravel surface.

The toilets are accessed via a gravel surface.

Tāhunanui Beach is an outdoor location with natural beach terrain.

Trafalgar Centre

The Trafalgar Centre has level, wheelchair-accessible entrances and ramps throughout the venue.

There are six accessible toilets.

Accessible parking spaces are available outside the venue for mobility permit holders.

Tāhunanui School Hall

Kismet has wheelchair access via the ground-floor entrance. The venue has a relatively flat layout with wheelchair ramps.

There is an accessible, gender-inclusive toilet.

The Nelson Provincial Museum

The Nelson Provincial Museum, located at the corner of Trafalgar and Hardy Streets, has wheelchair access.

WAA! Club

WAA! Club has limited physical accessibility.

There is street parking nearby. The entrance has one step and is not wheelchair accessible.
