Hailing from South Tāmaki Makaurau, and thus Polynesian by birth and blood, Filiva’a James (vocals and keytar), Gideon Voon (guitar), Oliver Leupolu (guitar/production), Shaymen Rameka (drums) and Joseph Oti-George (bass) are not playing games – Shepherds Reign is what they are on this planet to do. SHUV-IT
Shuv-it is a hardcore project hailing from Tasman, Aoteraoa. We play hard hitting, fast and inspired music.
Formed in the winter of 2023, we set out to implant our own style of hardcore/crossover music into the New Zealand scene. Musicians Sam Edmonds – Vocals (Little Oceans, Grip-Tape, The Violet Project, Recommended by your mom), Jack Rollinson – Guitar (Steezy’s Touch, Grip-Tape, ex-Blind Eye), Thornton Church – Drums (Grip-Tape, Carl O-yang) and Sam Butler (live) (Distance) have joined forces to create a hoppy, energetic fusion of riffs and rhythm that is a jolt to the chest, and sure to get your head and body moving.
Akin to bands like Turnstile, SPEED and Drain, we get crowds spinning, jumping and embracing the new age positivity of our hardcore style.
