This stunning new arrangement of Mozart’s Requiem by Robert Wiremu is brought to life by the celebrated Voices New Zealand Chamber Choir and leading instrumental ensemble under the direction of Dr Karen Grylls, and recreates the virtuosic, intimate experience as imagined by Mozart.
This performance will recreate the virtuosic, yet intimate experience of the original but with a new and fresh perspective taking inspiration from Aotearoa and Antarctica, exploring flight, bird call, nature, and landscape.
With its distinct sound, performing music from Aotearoa New Zealand and infusing the qualities of its pacific origins into the classic choral repertoire, Voices New Zealand Chamber Choir has established itself as the country’s premier national and professional choir.
