In this workshop, bestselling author Caroline Barron will offer an entertaining and informative talk about making your way in the world as an author, with plenty of time to ask questions about the best way to get your own writing project into the hands of readers.
As well as writing two extraordinary books – the award-winning memoir, Ripiro Beach, and the stunning coming-of-age novel, Golden Days – Caroline has worn many hats in the literature sector. These include CNZ Arts Grant Assessor, convenor for the CompleteMS prize (NZSA), creative writing teacher, Auckland Writers Festival’s Marketing and Development Manager, and board member and head of the residency committee for Michael King Writers Centre. Having been published by both NZ and Australian presses, and having agent representation, she has a unique perspective on how to succeed.
All pukapuka will be for sale through our Festival bookstore Paper Plus Nelson, both at their shop and at their stall at Pukapuka Talks sessions – your opportunity to meet authors and get your books signed! You can also purchase books from Paper Plus online.
