Rooted in the experience of her Fijian and Pākehā bloodlines, HALFQUEEN’s confluence of sound is ever evolving. She has supported YG, Channel Tres, Earthgang, and is the tour DJ for JessB. She creates sets where the exchange between the audience and DJ are effervescent while decolonising the d-floor and uplifting the marginalised. She launched QTBIPOC club night FILTH with JessB.

BBYFACEKILLA is the alias of Tina Kolose, a queer Pasifika DJ. They are quickly making waves through heavy up-tempo sets, handsome selections and a natural stylistic flair. BBYFACEKILLA transcends the local trappings of scene and genre. They do so by providing a local perspective on something that is often forgotten about in club culture – that dance music was created by queer people of colour.
Their sets for the FILTH and Reform@ club nights and their System of a Brown and Hunting Ground radio shows have helped to consolidate a new scene in Tāmaki Makaurau that is diverse, aware, and ready to get raw.

Originally from the West Coast of Canada, and now nestled deep in the Marlborough Sounds, delectably eclectic selector BYTE SIZE is a sonic super spreader of tasty tunes – marinating her love of roots, hip hop, funk, and all manners of far flung rare grooves, with the deeply driving, bass heavy sounds of electronic music. From punchy progressive house & techno, to hot buttered breaks, organic electronica, & slinky afro nu disco, she playfully crafts dynamic dance floor journeys that are positively inclusive, infectiously grooving and full of sonic swagger. She is fortunate to have played at a number of Aotearoa’s lushest outdoor festivals including Relish, Rhythm & Alps, Twisted Frequency, Wingman, and Tora Bombora.
