While Spring may seem a long time away as we’re still in the midst of summer here in Aotearoa, we know that having enough time to plan is crucial for our community. 
So without further ado, we’re pleased to announce the date for the street party of the year:

Mask Carnivale | Friday 31 October 2025

We are so excited to celebrate our most beloved community event with you all, and will share this year’s theme with you soon – the tamariki from Nelson Central School, aka the winners of the 2024 parade, are hard at work to choose the guiding theme for this year’s celebration of community and creativity.

Here they are in their winning masks above, captured by Melissa Banks – we cannot wait to find out what’s in store for this year! 

Registrations for the parade will open as soon as the theme has been confirmed.
